Singing Saints Coming to Iowa Falls


The SINGING SAINTS, the fifty-two voice concert choir of Saint Paul Lutheran High, Concordia, Missouri, under the direction of William L. Gasau, will present a concert of sacred music at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 313 Lee Lane on Saturday, March 8, at 7:00 p.m.

The concert will include vocal selections by classical and contemporary composers such as Manz, Stroope, Christiansen, Bright and Hassler. Instrumental accompaniment will be included for several selections. While there is no charge for admission, an offering will be gathered. The public is cordially invited to attend. The SINGING SAINTS appearance at Immanuel Lutheran Church is part of the 2014 Concert Season which includes a total of 20 concerts in Missouri, Iowa, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio and New York. This award-winning choir has toured annually since 1973 with over 1000 appearances in 29 states and Canada. In 1994, 2006 and 2013 they performed as part of a mass choir in Carnegie Hall, New York, New York. They have been selected for performances at the state music teacher’s convention (MMEA) in 1986, 1989, 1993 and 1997 and have consistently received a “I” rating at State Music Contests since 1971. Saint Paul Lutheran High is a four-year high school of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. Many students attending the school are preparing for full time work in the Lutheran Church as pastors, teachers, deaconesses, social workers, or youth leaders.
