Family Potluck and Game Night a Success

Tonight we had our first (of hopefully many) Family Potluck and Game Nights. It was “Bring Your Own Meat” to grill and your favorite game. We had some great food, and two other families with kids came, while several other couples of varying ages came as well. I put a movie on our “big screen” for the kids in one part of the building and after we ate, the adults played a game called “Man Bites Dog.” This game is pretty fun–you get five cards with parts of headlines, and you have to form your own believable headline from those cards. The rest of the group votes on whether or not they will accept your headline, and you get the points at the bottom of each card. First one to 500 wins.

A good time was had by all, I think. I over ate as is my usual custom. I hope we can do something similar again sometime. It was a small group, but perhaps with a little consistency, it will grow. Now, it is time for bed!
